SHERYL SEAPY
Media Relations Specialist

A specialist in national business and consumer media relations, Sheryl Seapy brings more than 14 years of public relations experience in building visibility campaigns for companies in the technology, healthcare, biotech, consumer products, business-to-business, legal and financial services industries. Seapy has provided media relations counsel relating to patent protection cases, software piracy prevention programs, initial public offerings, merger and acquisition activity, product launches, quarterly financial results and crisis communications.

Currently Seapy provides corporate communications/media relations counsel to a variety of technology, consumer and healthcare clients, including Autodesk, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp., United Commercial Bank, Allergy & Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics, Genentech, Pharsight and STAAR Surgical.

By leveraging her network of business press and industry trade relationships, she has generated positive coverage for her clients in a variety of high-profile media outlets, including the New York Times, BusinessWeek, “Next @ CNN,” Dow Jones, CNBC, Money, Financial Times, Associated Press, Smart Money, Investor’s Business Daily, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Business News, Barron’s, Modern Healthcare, CBSMarketWatch.com, USA Today, San Francisco Chronicle, Economist, Forbes, Reuters, Los Angeles Times, TheStreet.com, CNN Financial News and Fortune.

Seapy’s prior experience includes the management of global design software firm Autodesk, Inc.’s (Nasdaq:ADSK) corporate-wide media relations programs, acting as the PR liaison to the investor relations team and as a corporate spokesperson, as well as providing the message and media training program for the executive team. She also served as Autodesk’s representative on the communications board for the Business Software Alliance, a technology industry group focused on educating consumers on software management and copyright protection, cyber security, trade, e-commerce and other Internet-related issues.

Before joining Autodesk, Seapy served as vice president/group director and director of the West Coast media relations practice for international financial communications and investor relations firm Morgen-Walke Associates (now Financial Dynamics). Seapy also served as the director of media and public relations for a boutique investor relations firm focused on biotechnology, medical device and biopharmaceutical companies, as well as management roles in public relations firms where she directed PR and media campaigns for healthcare, consumer, business-to-business, transportation and legal clients. Her clients included PacifiCare Health Systems/Secure Horizons, Prudential Securities, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Orange County Transportation Authority, Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, and the Orange County and San Diego County Bar Associations.
Seapy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Southern California.
